“It’s not about turning your students into gamers, it’s about trying to turn your gamers into students”

In this term’s club, children go beyond just playing; designing, building and bringing to life their own platform style video games, using one of our most popular game-making platforms - Bloxels EDU.

Decomposing each aspect of game design – graphics, layout, gameplay, characters, backgrounds, and animation – children will code each pixel block to act in the way they want, debugging and improving their creations as they go. Exploring problem solving and critical thinking in a fun, hands-on way, children will use pixel art to design custom worlds and challenges.

Throughout the Summer term, Coders will also have log-ins to our Bloxels EDU platform that they can use outside of the club
